As a Screener in Vancouver / Lower Mainland, Abbie has been working with neurodiverse children since 2015. Noticing that many children with autism and ADHD exhibited the symptoms of Irlen Syndrome, Abbie became an Irlen Screener, helping to alleviate symptoms such as eye strain and difficulty concentrating.

Dr Phair has worked with people experiencing symptoms including chronic headache, migraine headache, anxiety, ADHD, light sensitivity, dyslexia and/or decreased reading speed/comprehension using the Irlen Method to reduce or eliminate symptoms. She has been a Certified Irlen Screener since 2015.

Serving clients throughout the Kootenays, Rod is a retired Elementary School Principal of over 30 years. He has a deep, inherent interest in the success of all students and has been an active Screener since 2014.

As a retired Physiotherapist, the decision to become an Irlen screener was not difficult and in 2021 I received my certificate. My efforts are mainly directed toward the elementary school reading programs where early diagnosis and positive outcomes are a real possibility.

As a screener in the Tri-Cities area of the Lower Mainland, Andrea has been a Special Education Teacher in elementary and high school since 2010. One of Andrea’s passions in her work is reading intervention. In her teaching practice, she started to see that the root of reading difficulties is complex and can include perceptual problems (the way that the eyes are processing info from the outside environment). Andrea was interested in becoming an Irlen screener as she saw the power that the Irlen method had in alleviating perceptual issues connected with reading difficulties.
